The Images of America paperback from Arcadia Publishing lists several books on Vallejo.
Marisela Barbosa-Cortez noticed a gap in the Arcadia lineup.
“There wasn’t one for the Latin / Hispanic community,” she said. “I wish I had it.”
Barbosa-Cortez laughed.
“I never thought I would write it,” she said.
But she did. “Vallejo Latinos and Hispanics” will be on the shelves on January 10th at the Vallejo Naval History Museum, signing a book on January 15th.
I’m thrilled to announce that my book “Hispanics and Latinos in Vallejo” will be published on January 10, 2022, and my first Book Signing event on January 15, 2022. I would like to send a big Thank You, to the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, for hosting and celebrating the release of the newest local history title in Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series.

For husband and wife, Roberto and Marisela Barbosa-Cortez, the time to increase the political participation of the Latino community is “ya.”

Entrepreneurship has been part of my life since 2004. I started small businesses that allowed me to have flexibility so that I could focus on being a mom. After completing my MBA in 2015 I had and idea to create a shared space for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
